ABOUT SHARON

With over 30 years experience, her A-list client list includes Emily Blunt and Emma Watson. Sharon is renowned for her secret form-making bespoke corsetry, luxurious fabrics and gorgeous designs with intricate beading and embroidery. She designs hand-made bridal, occasion and evening dresses for her clients, using impeccable, traditional pattern-cutting and sewing skills in her workshop in London, overseeing every part of the process herself.

Sharon’s passion is sculpting a perfect silhouette for her client. A Sharon Cunningham wedding dress will be a technical masterpiece and will always look amazing from every angle, and move smoothly and effortlessly throughout the bride’s big day. Whether it’s a sweeping fairytale creation, a romantic chiffon gown, a luxurious bias cut, a stunning slim shape or even a sharp trouser suit, Sharon works with her clients to create the look of their dreams. She also designs unique evening dresses and occasion wear, including additional wedding gowns for an evening party. Her silks, satins, organzas, laces and beading are from the finest producers in Italy and France, and she helps her clients choose the perfect accessories, too.

Sharon studied at Fashion College in Ireland, winning the coveted International Smirnoff Fashion Award. She moved to London and perfected her craft working with John Rocha, Ben De Lisi, Catherine Walker, and Gieves and Hawkes, creating dresses and costumes for a number of famous faces including Jemima Goldsmith, Kate Winslett, Mel Gibson and Plum Sykes.

She branched out on her own in 1999 and launched her first collection in Harrods to rave reviews. She opened her own store in Mayfair where her couture gowns made in her own atelier brought her to the forefront of the couture bridal world. Here she worked with many well-known clients including Emily Blunt and Emma Watson. In 2017 she moved operations to her own private workshop and showroom where she is now based in North London. She frequently appears in top bridal and fashion magazines and shows at bridal events throughout the country.
